i know but in the fist movie the king had broly killed and spared goku’s life why

   alright early on in DBZ it was said that a Super Sayain was to be born ever 10,000 years

   now Goku was not that sayian but Brolly was and thus since he was the chosen one he has had more power then any other sayain.

   in a 1-1 fight of Goku and Brolly, goku (before SS3 and 4) does not stand a chance against Brolly thats why in all the movies it takes multiple people to defeat him

   When Brolly was introduced SS3 and SS4 was not unlocked yet by Goku.

   Goku became a SS out of his strong will and Vegita became one because of jealousy towards Goku

   Broly is called the Legendary Super Saiyan for a number of reasons. He was born with a power level of 10,000, so he could transform into a Super Saiyan theoretically from birth. Also, his Legendary Super Saiyan form is an entirely different form from anything any other Saiyan achieves. It most closely resembles Trunks’ Ultra Super Saiyan form, but it is more powerful & doesn’t have its weaknesses. Trunks USS form is about the equivalent of a SS1.5, but the body becomes musclebound, & is therefore far slower & less agile. The form also consumes power at a faster rate. In contrast, Broly’s LSS form is equivalent to about a SS2.5 to start. Unlike USS, this form is actually faster than Broly’s SS form & possibly even a bit more agile. Also, in this form, Broly’s power increases as the battle rages on (a la Hulk). So, this is why the form is called Legendary. Oh, & if you think that’s scary, if Broly’s tail had not been removed, he would have been able to achieve a Golden Oozaru transformation of vastly greater power, & could he have controlled that, he may very well have been able to achieve Legendary Super Saiyan 4. Spooky power, huh?
