Which Goku voice is better? the original Japanese one or the Funimation one?
I hate Goku’s original Japanese voice. He sounds like a retarded little girl.

because thats how the artist(s) originally intended for his character to be portrayed. that is the character of goku.
Dragonball Z is one of few anime where the English dub is widely considered BETTER than the original Japanese version. Whoever comes out and says dubs suck need to shut up and compare Dragonball Z’s dub to its Japanese audio, it’s better because the dubbed voices make them sound tougher and angrier and more manly, on top of that Goku sounds like a MAN in the dub where in the Japanese version he sounds like a WOMAN!!
Oh yeah, what about Fullmetal Alchemist? Ed also sounds like a girl in the Japanese version for God’s sake and in the dub he sounds like a guy. Vic Mignogna did better. Gundam Wing’s Quatre sounds like a girl in the Japanese version and the crappy thing is the actress did not even attempt to try and sound like a boy, Brad Swaile played him better, hands down!
Schemmel WINS!! Although some argue that the Ocean Group dub is better but I give props to FUNimation for giving them some voice differentiation. Regardless, any dub of DB was better than the Japanese version
