And what he said was partially true in that Vegeta was the strongest of all the Z figthers at that time. When Goku was on the lookout he was dead. My point is that DEAD OR ALIVE ON EARTH, he couldnt sustain the form efficiently bcos of high energy drainage, in BOTH cases.
Ppl have different interpretations on things often, especialy when facts are not explained in detail, sometimes they dont understand or dont even want to understand CLEAR AND STRAIGHT facts. In this aspect, facts are what hapened in the show. The why , how or when is what confuse ppl most of times…
Goku couldnt sustain ssj3 for long on Earth while dead probably bcoz the Earth and the otherworld have different properties and laws on dead bodies, with the Earth Consuming much more energy and that becomes aggravating on a live body.
What i mean by the strongest at the beginning of the saga is the FIRST strongest one BETWEEN Goku and Vegeta in the saga. In the saiyan saga, at first Goku was no match to Vegeta BEFORE the kaiokens power ups DURING the battle. Then Vegeta got stronger when he turned Oozaru. Goku was always the LAST strongest one of the two, except at the saiyan saga. Typical of the main hero who makes his entrance on the scene and save the day when the situation is critical…
The whereabouts of those 2 dont matter. It’s the timeframe. To me, the androids started when the 2 first ones appear. So maybe that’s why we dont understand each other here. But as Vegeta defeated # 19, he was the strongest one and had a power level higher than Goku’s one before the virus’effects. It means he was the strongest one from my beginning. And Trunks finally understood that he might not have been stronger than his father when Cell made him realized that Vegeta DECIDED not to turn USSJ.
Vegeta DIDNT WANT to turn USSJ against Cell, bcoz he knew of his flawed nature, but he had reached that form too, meaning we dont know for sure if Trunks was really stronger than Vegeta.
Some power level records claim that Vegeta was stronger than Goku on their base form, just at the beginning of the Buu saga, when they were in Babidi’s spaceship…Now all you have to do is prove them wrong….
Err, i dont think so. Right after Buu was killed, Gohan was still the strongest one. Remember : The spirit bomb constitutes of other ppl’s energy, not Goku’s ! But after the 10 years, it’s unknown about who’s the strongest one btn Goku and Vegeta….but it must be Goku since he could turn ssj3 , even though for a short time.Sometimes i wonder if i can count it since it wasnt really effective on a live body and on Earth…
Yes, but Goku managed to be stronger than Vegeta on the ssj2 form ONLY bcoz he got the chance of training in the otherworld….And there are inconsistencies about when Goku REALLY could use ssj3.
This was one of the most memorable moments in dbz. 7:11 – 7:18 is my favorite part. With the music in the background it just makes it flow nicely. Its sad because it makes you think of the old vegeta, and how much hes changed… well imo

At 2:25 Piccolo says that he’s NEVER witnessed and felt such a power ( Vegeta’s).
At 2:38 After Gohan asks him whether he thinks Vegeta is stronger than his dad at that point, Piccolo replies ” There’s a good chance, yes..I think so”..
Besides have you noticed how Vegeta’s ego was out of control then ? He wouldnt evem take notice of Trunks who was also a ssj when he first met him.Vegeta would never be so proud of himself if he wasnt sure

Vegeta is very proud, but he ALWAYS realized he was weaker if he realized someone was stronger than him. Whenever he said he was the strongest he would say it with total assurance until proven otherwise.
