@ElfMaster64 fans wanted goku to beat almost everyone. But the director actually wanted Gohan to be the strongest and have the biggest part in the series.

@oneya89 well you got a point and Goku IS better but not stronger, he;s more skilled experience and other stuff but he will always run out of power unlike Gohan

i agree. they should have made it that they win it together, but Gohan was guided through Kamehameha bu Goku when he was fighting Cell, so this is other ultimate reality…
My oppinion is that Goku SS3 is much more powerful then any fighter alone in Z and GT saga (good guys only ofcourse)…

@PunkGuy1020 but Goku killed Buu with the spirit bomb, the collaborative power of all of the z fighters and all of the living things of earth. He wasn’t relying on his own power alone, so the “goku defeated kid buu” argument seems kind of inaccurate to me…
@Jayyedx he did give kid buu a good fight though, which of course only proves that kid buu is nowhere near even basic super buu who goku many times said he stood no chance against.

If so he’d have beaten super buu, but even after removing gotenks, gohan, and piccolo he was still terrified of buu and suggested fusion, while gohan had beaten that buu effortlessly. Goku is roughly equivalent to kid buu, who is at best 3 times as strong as fat buu, and no more than a tenth of super buu. Gohan and Gotenks would destroy him, gotenks might not even need to go super saiyan.
look at the facts not the order of fights and dramatic build up.
@JustThink00 Well it’s possible that he was lying and actually could have stood a chance against super buu, considering he that he let other opportunities to beat buu go for the sake of the others getting their shot at him.
And I also re-watched the kid buu / ssj3 goku fight. It seemed that although goku got in some offense, it didn’t seem to effect buu. Buu basically went unharmed until goku eventually wore himself down. It was quite possible that buu was toying with him. Just a theory though.

how does fusing with vegeta help anyone else learn how to defend the world in his place? and if it’s just “letting vegeta have a shot(screw the planet)” well i doubt vegeta would consider fusion an acceptable way to show his power.
there were countless times when they were in imminent danger of death and the doom of the planet in which goku would undoubtedly have defeated buu if he could.

I’m just referring to what goku said himself when he mentions why he didn’t finish buu on occasions where he claims he could have. (ssj3 goku vs. fat buu and ssj3 goku vs. kid buu [though I doubt he would have won the kid buu fight anyway.])
@Jayyedx don’t know where “take it easy” came from. my points are pretty indisputable though. Goku may let other people fight sometimes but not at the cost of himself and the entire world

I’m just saying he let more convenient opportunities to defeat buu pass him by for the sake of the others.
@somepersonsomeplace H would have been unstoppable. I’m sure he would have been able to reach SSJ3 first.

Classic, the Buu Saga had so many funny parts. It made DBZ a bit silly again, which in my opinion, was a good thing.
