IMO The battle system is better in BT3. It takes time getting used to BT3 after playing BT2 but once you learn BT3 you’re going to suck at BT2 if you try going back to it. I know the controls 100% in BT3 so BT2 is kinda confusing now.

Hold A, Swing(Wii Remote) in one direction to whind up then swing in the opposition to hit your oppenent.
Vanish: Punch, Punch, A+B & direct yourself left or right with the analog stick.
Air Combo: Punch, Punch, Up+B, chase, A,A,A,A/B. or in Sparkling mode finish off with B to do a Blast.
