You are right, if Broly would stay alive for a longer time, he would be almost invincible. I mean Broly is already the Japanese Godzilla fused with The Hulk, but as a Ssj3 or may be even a Lssj3 he will be something between God and Chuck Norris. If you don’t know in Dragonball Raging Blast he becomes Ssj3.
the “little stronger Gohan” you mentioned was ssj2 and he couldn’t match the power of broly. thats because broly reached a status near death and then healed. also if you think about it broly could beat anyone if his body was strong enough to endure his ever increasing ki, i believe you remember the scene from the first movie where broly releases his extra power because he can’t contain it.

…Its kind of like watching a awsome movei that has more than 8 colors in the story.
But this movie only shows 2 colors and they use it pretty well for just 2 colors….but that makes it boring later right?

The Sun killed Broly. The Kamehameha was strong enough to break through the Blaster and push him to the Sun.
But still the Family Kamehameha should be stronger than the Toei punch since Broly survived the latter attack.
I think in the first movie Broly was stronger then in the second movie. In the first movie Goku needed the power of Piccolo, fused with Kami and trained in the room of time and spirit, (However you name it in English), Super Vegeta trained two times, Super Trunks also trained two times, Teen Gohan Full Power Ssj and Goku was also a Full Power Ssj. But in the second movie Goku just needed help with the Kamehameha from Trunks Goten and a little stronger Gohan.
