What if Gohan turned SS2 when he fought Brolly for the first time? I did this video after arguing with a couple of Brolitards, before you guys say anything.. Broly was killed by the sun. The kamehamehas made by SSJ2 Gohan, Goku + SSJ Goten merely pushed him there. The beams DID not kill him (indicated when his barrier did not break)
Perfect Cell was killed by ONE SSJ2 that had his power decreased in half.
So I don’t get your logic how 2SSJ2+1SSJ > 0.5SSJ2.
Besides that, I want to hear your reasoning behind why you think Gohan was only SSJ in movie 10.

Well, the problem is mostly about Broly’s growing powers. People make the mistake that LSSJ is a FIXED power level, which is incorrect.
I am also agreeing that with all the power that Goku received from his allies make him equivalent to SSJ2.
A SSJ2 can beat Movie 8 Broly but it was shown that in Movie 10 that Broly received a power boost that managed to pummel Adult SSJ2 Gohan (Daizenshuu confirms power boost as well as Jp dub).

Also there is no proof that Gohan is Ssj2 aside from the hair.

Well, if you can’t rely on the hair. What other than you rely on? Electricity? We can’t rely on that either because there was lack of electricity in SSJ2 Vegeta vs. Kid Buu and in movies 12 and 13 (including SSJ3 goku for one of these movies, forgot which one) respectively.
Power wise, shows Gohan is SSJ2 because he was able to stun Broly with some attacks.
Hair and electricity (and facial expressions) are mostly what helps to indicate which SSJ stage they are in.

Ssj2 Vegeta had lightning in the battle, he didn’t have all the time but he had a lightning aura.
Ssj2 Vegeta and Ssj3 Goku didn’t have a aura so therefor, they didn’t have the lightning.
SSj Gohan didnt have lightning at all in the film.

@KiraXBara456 The fact that Gohan says he is stronger than his movie 8 counterpart, which means that movie 8 Gohan isn’t his Cell Games counterpart.
Gohan had Ssj hair during the beam struggle and wasn’t instantly annihilated. Which to me means that the artiest got lazy during the fist brawl of Ssj Gohan and Brolly and just decided to put 1 bang because 1 bang is easier then doing 2.
Gohan had no lightning aura at all.

No. Gohan stated that Broly was stronger than he was in movie 10. Daizenshuu contained comments from Akira that Broly did indeed become stronger than his movie counterpart.
How was the artist lazy in the second part? He knew his stuff with the one bang =SSJ2 (other than the lightning which was a fault on Toei’s part because they admitted that they cut it out due to budget issues). Gohan was pretty much beaten up and he would have been too exhausted to go into SSJ2 for kamehameha.

@Vegito1089 Does your opinion really matter. Toei stated in the Daizenshuu that Gohan was SSJ2. It’s fact. Whether he was in the beam battle is debatedable, but it’s stated he’s SSJ2 at the beginning of the fight.
Gohan stating he was stronger means nothing, it’s a movie. Gohan and Goten were nearly equals, but his base is stronger than Gotens SSJ in this movie. Not to mention the other movie where they’re stronger than their canon counterpart. And I apologize if I sounded like an ass in anyway
