Dragon Ball Z Gohan Fights Frieza (AKA SSJ2 Gohan / Mystic Gohan Theme) on Mario Paint Composer
I have absolutely no idea why it’s called “Gohan Fights Frieza”. This theme never plays once in the entire Frieza Saga, let alone when Gohan fights Frieza after Krillin gets stabbed in “Gohan Attacks” or when Goku is incapacitated in “Gohan Returns”. The first time it is heard is in “Extreme Measures” when Gohan kills Salt and Mustard in the Garlic Jr. Saga. It’s also played in “Awakening” after Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2 and in “A Whole New Gohan” when Gohan confronts Super Buu after the old Supreme Kai unlocks his power. Because of that it’s sometimes mistakenly called “SSJ2 Gohan’s Theme” and “Mystic Gohan’s Theme”. Making my search for the real title even more irritating, the song is played several times during Super Vegeto’s fight with Super Buu and in “Minute of Desperation” when Super Saiyan 3 Goku tries to squish Kid Buu between his energy blasts; both cases have nothing to do with Gohan at all. So to recap, the theme has nothing to do with Gohan fighting Frieza or the Frieza Saga in general and the theme is played for people other than Gohan including Super Vegeto and Super Saiyan 3 Goku. I’m pissed off. Anyways, some of the cars were raised an octave but no other types of notes were raised or lowered in pitch. This was another song I had to do painstakingly by ear. It was painstaking.
